Stockton State Park is a popular recreation destination and
is situated on a peninsula overlooking Stockton Lake. The Park
is located 5 miles southeast of Stockton, Missouri just off state
highway 215. The park contains 2,176-acres and has a large, full-service
marina with rental boats (including houseboats), a motel, rental
cabins, a restaurant and high quality campsites.
There are 78 paved sites (45 with electricity). There are
also toilets and showers, a sanitary dump station, public telephone,
laundry, food service, and firewood. Stockton lake offers 25,000
acres for water activities, and is a favorite for sailing. Other
opportunities include swimming, boating, water-skiing and scuba
diving. The lake contains black bass, crappie, walleye and white
bass. Our cost was $10.00 with electricity (11-99). While we
only stayed one night, we believe Stockton State Park is well
worth a longer visit.
